How you can help

You can make a difference

Currently, through securing funding, we have managed to build a prototype toilet in the region, where we paid local labour to produce and build the toilet.

The waste is currently being collected and treated to ensure that it can be safely managed and that the process of turning waste to fertiliser is a safe transition. The prototype also presents the opportunity for us to manage the toilet's location to ensure that we are focusing on the correct region where there is sufficient demand.

Our market research and needs assessment dictate high demand for the product. Ensuring suitable demand and safe fertiliser, we will look to expand.

Funding is required to pay for testing the safety of waste as well as for the wages of locals working on the project. We need your help so that we can look to construct more toilets to implement our ideas on a greater scale.

We believe that we can:

  1. Improve the livelihoods of local farmers by providing them with affordable sources of fertiliser to increase their crop yield and income.

2. Educate the local people of New Edubiase surrounding the importance of water, hygiene and sanitation practices in the most effective way, through the use of our WASH programme.

3. Empower the local community, particularly females and children who face a number of safety risks through open defecation and unsafe cooking practices.
